Matt is a Melbourne-based musician and multi-instrumentalist, proficient in guitar, banjo and mandolin. He has established himself as a versatile performer, working extensively as an orchestral musician across a wide range of professional settings. His recent performance credits include appearances with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria, Victorian Opera and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, where he has performed alongside Australian theatre performers such as Amy Manford, Josh Piterman, Abigail Adriano, and theatre legend Caroline O'Connor. Matt is a graduate of the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, where he studied contemporary guitar under Doug de Vries and Ken Murray. Matt has a strong affinity for American styles of music, including blues, western swing, bluegrass and country, and specialises in the guitar styles of Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed.
