About

Born into a musical family, Laura began her multi-instrumentalist career at the age of 3 with piano, before continuing on to clarinet, saxophone, flute and oboe participating in numerous in school and state-wide ensembles. She holds her Bachelor of Music Performance from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Laura has received numerous performance opportunities including an international tour to Spain for the WASBE conference, participating in the Sydney Con International Jazz Festival, a residency at Foundry 616. In 2020, she was the recipient of the Harry Harmon Memorial award. Working as a commercial woodwind specialist, recent credits include Fiddler on the Roof (Woodward Productions), Phantom of the Opera on Sydney Harbour (Opera Australia), Book Of Mormon (Jones Productions), Annie (Crossroads), Guys and Dolls on Sydney Harbour (Opera Australia), Siegfried and Roy (Sydney Festival), Sister Act (Crossroads), Tell Me On A Sunday (Michelle Guthrie), 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (NIDA), Wicked (Crossroads), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (TML Productions), An American in Paris (GWB), ReWired by Hayes Theatre and depping on Anastasia The Musical (Crossroad Live/ Opera Australia) and Moulin Rouge! The Musical (Global Creatures). The 2026 season has some exciting productions to add to the list. Outside the theatre scene, Laura is an active performer in various professional groups including Andrew Robertson's Big Band, Divergence Jazz Orchestra, Geoff Power's Great Gatsby Orchestra and South Coast Big Band and other freelance ensembles working with artists such as Vince Jones, Matt Jodrell and Vanessa Perica. Outside of performing, she is also a passionate music educator and ensemble director in some of Sydney's leading high schools on the North Shore.
