About
Residing in Perth, Australia, Jack Hill is has been working hard in the local and national music scenes his entire adult career. Known for his versatility and reliability behind the drum set, Jack has made a mark in the original music scene and, more recently, broken into the world of professional musical theatre. Whilst studying drum set at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) under Mark Charters and Ric Eastman, Jack began gigging relentlessly with local bands. Most notably, he toured nationally and internationally with Fremantle artist Noah Dillon, performing at Splendour in the Grass (Byron Bay) and on Triple J’s “Like a Version”. In 2023 Jack started his career in musical theatre by touring with Chicago the Musical to multiple cities around Australia. Recently, Jack has played the Perth season of Come Alive: The Greatest Showman Spectacular and Same Time Next Week, an award-winning original musical written by Scott McArdle and Jackson Harper-Griggs. When he’s not on stage, Jack spends his time in the studio. Highly regarded in the Perth scene for his consistency and feel, he has played on countless tracks. Jack also runs a small studio in Perth where he produces music for local artists and remotely tracks drums, percussion and piano to be sent to producers around Australia.
